When I was younger (that was ten years ago), I tend to browse sites without any cautions. I click whatever links as well as ads that I find interesting. I also love to play online games. Little did I know back then that there might be spywares, phishing sites and viruses when you click on those links. Thus my computer always gets infected with a virus. I think I reformat my computer frequently that time. Good thing I don’t store lots of files that time.

Now, I’m old (I admit) and wiser, I am more protective of my computer. It’s disaster when my files got corrupted so here’s what I do to protect it:

• Visit reputable sites
• Have adblock plugin installed so I won’t get tempted to click on ad links
• Have antivirus installed and scan my computer regularly
• Be cautious of the links given by my friends on Twitter and Facebook

There PC Tools available that can be downloaded to protect a computer, free or with a fee. It’s hard if a computer gets infected with all these malicious stuff.
