Not the Sporty Type

I grew up with my dad being so protective that I wasn’t allowed to have bruises or wounds. Well, not that he can do something in preventing it to happen when I play, but he gets furious whenever I had one. Because of this, I wasn’t able to play street games with the other kids. I wasn’t allowed to play with other kid’s bike or ride a skateboard.

I used to envy my friends playing football or baseball or any sports that require many players because I get to be the referee while they play. Growing up with him being protective made me weak in terms of sports. I don’t know how to play any sports at all even badminton which seemed to be easy.

If only I was allowed to play these kind of sports, I might have grown up being athletic and enjoy watching NFLs, World Cup and the like. I might even get a Louisville Slugger Z-1000 baseball bat and start my own collections. That’s how fanatic I can get when I like something.

How to Manage Edema

Swelling during pregnancy is normal, occurring usually at the third trimester. Me, I didn’t suffer from swelling while I was pregnant but as soon as I gave birth, the swelling occurred. It happened for both of my pregnancies. The swelling wasn’t that bad for my first one though but with my second pregnancy, it was that bad that had a hard time moving and I almost couldn’t walk. I did everything from raising my legs most of the time and drinking lots of water but it didn’t go away faster than before. My doctor even suggested that I drink plum juice. It helped though to reduce the swelling but it didn’t totally made it go away until after a month of giving birth.

I didn’t know that there are stockings like support hosiery I could use to manage my edema. If only I had known, I would have bought some in cute colors. Anyway, I now know that if ever I get pregnant again, I’ll get some compression stockings to prevent having edema again.
