The new Miss America for 2011 has been crowned and the winner is none other than Miss Nebraska Teresa Scanlan. She bested out 52 other contestants from different states after winning the beauty pageant.

Teresa Scanlan is crowned Miss Nebraska on June 5, 2010, receiving her crown from Brittany Jeffers, being the youngest ever crowned in the state. In Miss America 2011, she was crowned by last year winner Caressa Cameron of Virginia.

The newly crowned Miss America 2011 graduated from Scottsbluff High School but she was taking a year off from school to fulfill her duties as Miss Nebraska.
