I am very dissatisfied with my web hosting provider recently. Their service failed to meet their claimed up time which is 99.9%. There were times they were down more than 2 times a week. Their downtime tremendously affected the number of visitors of my sites. I learned that this downtimes are caused by a very poorly planned migration. Because of the downtimes, I am considering to get my own private virtual server from other web hosting provider. The only thing that hinders me right now is the cost.

In fairness with my provider, it had been good for several years. As a matter of fact, I have a couple co-workers who are also with the same web hosting provider and they are satisfied until the frequent downtime. And this provider also offers the cheapest web hosting package. But if the downtime continues, I have no choice but to look for more reliable web hosting provider and transfer my sites.
