admin Apple’s App store held a contest more than a week ago where the one who will download the 10th billion app will win a $10,000 iTunes gift card. On January 22, 2011, someone has finally downloaded the 10th billion app, which was PaperGlider.
The Apple iTunes $10,000 winner is Gail Davis from Orpington, Kent, UK. At first, Davis declined the caller thinking it was a scam but when her daughters told her they have downloaded several apps that day, she called back but the company’s helpdesk wasn’t at all helpful.
She’s lucky since Apple iTunes VIP Eddie Cue called her after a few hours. Now, Davis and her daughters can download more apps. I wonder if it will take years for them to make a total of $10,000? I did join too but wasn’t lucky enough. Oh well, congratulations to Gail Davis.
