American Idol is back this year with American Idol Season 8 / American Idol 2009. American Idol Season 8 Premiere airs tonight and tomorrow on Fox at 8/7c.

This year’s American Idol 2009 / American Idol Season 8 have a lot of things being changed such as having a fourth judge (Kara DioGuardi), the auditions cut down a bit and having 36 semifinalists which would take the semifinal round taking three weeks, among others.

American Idol Season 8 auditions were held in East Rutherford, NJ; Jacksonville, FL; Kansas City, MO; Louisville, KY; Phoenix, AZ; Salt Lake City, UT; San Francisco, CA; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
